Started my truck Saturday and the starter hung up and kept dragging making a very loud powerful thrusting noise over and over. Tried to kill the truck and it would'nt turn off so I had to disconect the battery leads to kill it. Went to parts house and replaced the starter relay and it stopped and was working fine. Went to get in it this morning and it did the same exact thing, my question is it in the starter, ignition switch or something else. Thanks in advance for your help.

 

compared to most parts on these trucks, starter is cheap. I say just go buy one.

 

Solonoid stuck my friend, I have never been anble to find just the solonoid for them damn starters but there only 130 bucks. But 130 bucks can be alot to some people also.
