ive got a 2001 2500 with the automatic, i dont dont know how much of that besides the year matters, but anywho, i need a new pedal position sensor, im sure thats what it is, i keep getting dead pedal, then it comes back in about a minute or so, but twice now its gone dead and wont let the motor go over idle, ive had to reset the batteries both times to get home. i know the dealer wants about $550 for the whole assembly deal, but i was told on here before all i need is the one specific part and i believe it was the sensor. i appreciate any help, let me know whos got my part, im needin bad. thanks guys

Better check your codes there boss, and make sure your vp44 aint goin bad, both can give very similair dead pedal. If you have to let off to get the pedal to come back it is more than likely vp44, but codes will tell you for sure.

 

ive checked the codes before, its always been something with the apps. ill even go double check right now

ive got a P0606, P0121, P1693. the 0121 was the apps, and the other 2 one was ecm and the other had to do with the ecm, those are what came up before when ive had the issue.

 

to that! Have you tried adjusting the apps voltage?

 

check out a guy named timbo he has very good ones for around 170$ just google it!

ya, i ordered mine from timbos, i put it in on sunday and i must have been lucky cause it didnt work, put it in and followed the directions, started the motor and all it wanted to do was rev way up pn its own. ended up puttin the old one back in so i can drive. but i talked to him this afternoon, he's sending me out a new one, so hopefully it works out this time.

got the new one today, got it on, and im back to screamin through this hippie filled town. i dont know what was wrong with the other one, but now she drives like new, besides the need of a new steering gear, but thats for another day. thanks for the help
