im at a loss seems when cooler weather or morning starts truck fires up nice,when its 15 to 30 above the wait to start light goes out quickly then the truck turns over for 30 secs before firing and theres a over abundance of fuel,and smoke it has never not started, anyone care to comment im open to trying anything at this point cheers...

check the iat sensor, also make sure the grids are heating. the grid solenoids may be shot, or a poor ground at the intake...

the long crank time can mean not enought heat or no fuel. but i would assume you don't have an air locked fuel system.

not enought heat
I am very certain ruffneck is talking Celsius when saying 15 - 30 degrees. 59-86 is the 8F conversion.

Sounds like a failing injection pump diaphragm. Hard starts when warm is a symptom of a cracked diaphragm.

i had pulled the plug out on the iat sensor and it still seems like itll do the same as with it in any way to test iat sensor thx
