if it does it when hot then somthing else is going on. maybe a bad pressure solinoid in the v.b

i appreciate your input, i won't pretend to know alot about transmissions, so, is this something that i can change or would i have to replace the vb as a whole?

no expert either, but i have an idea. and u can change just the solenoid there seperate from the v.b. when i had my over drive solenoid changed it cost $220 at a local shop, and they adjusted the bands to. dont take my word on it that its a pressure solenoid, it could be somthing else. id have a shop scan it first, and tell them whats its doing before you pull the pan...

I'm thinking it should be throwing a code if its an electrical issue, and any solenoid or short circuit in the tranny has a code to go along with it.

at the risk of making things worse, I added one more quart of fluid and the trans seems to be better. I was afraid it would mess things up as it was already at the full line when I checked it. I took the truck out for a drive and warmed it up and didn't have the slipping when I went to a left turn. I went to an area near where I work and drove in circles at various levels of throttle and I did not have the same issue. I suppose being high on fluid may eventually rear its ugly head but hopefully it will flush out the faulty culprit. I appreciate all of you guys' attention and responses to my issue.

Also wanted to add that this weekend I adjusted the TPS/APPS, whatever you want to call it and cleaned the ECM ground strap and connecting points and the battery terminals and added a good coat of NO-OX, no ECM codes after my drive this evening.

You are checking did level in neutral correct?

yeah, i warmed the engine with a short drive and put my truck on a level part of my driveway and engine running in neutral. it was reading at the normal level but that was the only reason i could think of as to why it was doing what it was. I have had trannys slip before on older cars and it gave the same actions. all i could think of was that when i turned it was forcing the fluid away from the main pick up of the filter, so that is why i thought i would add more fluid.

Hence why I was asking if the filter was attached correctly. I've even seen dip sticks stretched at the bends and read incorrectly. The logic behind slipping in a tight turn isn't really there lol. I guess it could be a throttle valve issue, a fluke in a solenoid. You would need a scan tool and a line pressure gauge to truly diagnose
