I have 99 cummins coming up with p237 boost sensor and inj pump codes 1688 1689. Does boost sensor have anything to do with pump? Or is my pump toast?

 

ur pump is toast i drew the exact same code ...... either p pump it for 3 grand or monster vp44 pump it for 2 grand cause if u buy a regular vp it will fail again sometime down the ride like always

 

eh more of those "monster" vps are junk than a standard vp.....so vps are more reliable and better for making power if you want, ho pumps and the hrvps dont do boxes well and are typically the ones that fail more often than not.

a properly fueled so vp will outlast the other gimic pumps and will be the best basis for modification if you so wish....
