well, a 97 would have a P7100, so your i nthe wrong forum, but...

you need to clarify "when i sped away it popped and blew white smoke"

when you started it, it oversped? or you started it and its popping and blowing white smoke?

If it oversped, the valve train and gear train needs to be gone through to check for damage.

lif you started it and its white smoking and popping, your timing is off, or you have not bled the system of air completely yet.

Default Thanx

I thank you but I've figured it out. I was actually accelarating after being stopped at an intersection. My pump was not propperly torqed so it slipped within the timing gear. we already fixed it.
