Default New to site need a little help

Hello everyone. I am a new dodge owner. I have a 1999 2500 4x4 and i am trying to fix a few miner problems. the first problem is a dead throttle at times. mainly at lite throttle but when i let off the peddle it will start taking fuel right away. any sugestions?

Welcome to the site..

It could be many different problems.

Does the truck have any aftermarket products on it?, Gauges,pumps,turners..etc.
Did you check for codes? You need to do this with a scanner.
Have you changed out the fuel filter?
Have you changed the batterys?

It has a after market fuel pump and i just had the turbo rebuilt. It was doing this gefor these were replaced. when you drive it and hold a steady lite throttle it is like the fuel peddle goes dead until you let off then it will go after that. No lights are on will it still have a code.

It could still have a code it will be stored in the pending code department and no engine lite will be on. It could be what cummin_un_glued said TPS=THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR they do wear out in time.

yeah we replace several on those trucks and genos has the best price because you can get just the sensor without having to buy the whole thing from dodge

btw last one we changed was not throwing a code

its possible to do 500hp with out a chip but your better off with a programer, gives you more/less power on demand. All you really need is triple disck TQ, billet input and valvebody for tranny
