How To Pull Codes
i have a 1998 24v and im having trouble with me rebuilt transmission. i was wondering if i can pull engine codes myself without a scanner? i tried on/off/on/off/on with the key and didnt get anything to happen.
The on/off trick wont work on a 98....and doesnt work very well on any other year either.
You need a OBDII scanner or have access to some type of programmer - a Smarty for example.

Take a peek...
Key method...

OBD II error listing for 98.5 to 2002 Dodges (PDF File)
http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/2002%2...or%20Codes.pdf
Then my other tool for OBD II error codes... Lot cheaper than most tools but does a lot more than read error codes... ScanGauge II is much cheaper than a $600 smarty...
