So i am looking in to gettin a 98 cummins 5 speed that the fifth gear has come off of the shaft because the nut came off. My question is can u fix that witgout dropping the tranny out? I want to just take the t case off and the rear shaft housing if possable? Also the fuel pump and inj. Pump took a dump the truck has 230 k on it how much would it be worth as it sits?

 

yes you can fix nut with out dropping entire tranny.
