hey all,
been driving my truck for a while with no problems. running great! nothing weird to report... daily driver.. Ill be using my truck and stop at some point shut down and come back to it with in a few hours and all it does is crank over with no start. Fuel pump cycles and fuel pressure jumps up to 15 psi.. no start.. crank..crank. Ill do this for 10 minutes or so, messing with wiring and such, eventually leaving the truck. Ill come back the next day and boom first crank it starts! WTF! . So im on my way... then 3 weeks later it does it again. all the same problems. wait a day or so and boom it starts. the first time the truck was off for about 2 hours and wouldn't start. the second time the truck off was for about 6 hrs and wouldn't start. what do you guys think? not a fuel supply issue cause I am getting a clean 15 psi to the injector pump. truck runs great. The second no start happened just a few days ago, waited a day restart and towed my boat to the lake with no problems other than this lingering feeling it may not start and leave me stranded! HELP

 

My truck has been kind of doing the same thing, but with a lot more problems . I'm kind of thinking it's an injector sticking. I've been putting some extra additives to clean up the injectors and it has been starting a lot better.
Any smoke once it fires?
It's weird how it does it randomly tho.

 

every time it starts if puffs out smoke and then cleans up.

 

update.. replaced crank position sensor on a whim. been working ever since
