do you have a stock lift pump or aftermarket like an airdog or fass?

the 0216 is a timing malfunction code that is very general. it could be a large mixture of air in the fuel or could be the pump failing. also it could be something damaged in the pump, mine was throwing this code and we pulled the pump down to a broken delivery valve. the 1693 is a companion code from the jtec module. this is a code that basicaly says there is a code set and im not sure on the 1694 off the top of my head. it sounds like the pump could be failing to me...

time for a new VP44 and lift pump. every time i have seen the p0216 its been bad. the p0216 is considered the death code. imo, i would put an airdog on the truck when you replace the IP to make sure the vp44 always has a good supply of fuel. me or any of the other sponsors here on db can get you a IP and a LP and a lot of the time when you buy them both you can get a lil better deal

yes it will still run it just wont have the power it should because its not supplying enough fuel to the injectors
