hello everyone, i was getting on the interstae the other morning and i might have put the lock up switch on a little early..................the truck will shift 1-4th just fine but it will not shift into overdrive..............fully built automatic???? cant seem to find the problem i have un hooked the lock up switch but still does the same thing and also un hooked the battery to maybe clear the computer

any input is appreciated!!!!

could it be a solenoid?????

 

It could be the T/C lock up solenoid. After my trans was rebuilt I can pretty much feel 5 shifts. 1-2-3-3 L/U-O/D.

 

i will have to look into that where is that located...appricate everything
under the hood or inside the tranny belhousing

 

the o/d solenoid is under the trans pan...... the link below has some pics of it.
