Default FP gauge no start?

Okay so this morning I had a perfectly healthy 02 SO 24v unit and set out to install my new Westech FP electric gauge with the universal fuel line kit. Followed the directions and installed right to the shraeder valve on the VP44. All went well except when I started the truck it ran for about 2 seconds and stalled out. I bumped the starter again and verified that I had fuel pressure and the lift pump was cycling. Next I cracked open injector lines 1 and 4 then cranked the starter until I had fuel seeping out of each, tightened them up and still a no start. It's about to get dark and I figured I'd give up for tonight. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Are you getting any codes or check engine lights?

If I am checking correctly there are no codes (cycle key 3 times).

I must have been too tired last night. Check for codes this morning and got P1693. I know this does not tell me much but I am leaning towards the possibility that I have not bled out all the air yet. Plan to go out a futz with it shortly.

Spray a tiny amount of starter fluid and i mean tiney in your airbox. Now I know they say not to but I had done just about everything I could when I installed my AD150 to get truck to start. So finally with a extra hand on the ignition i barely sprayed a quick half second shot of SF on filter and Pop she started.

Thanks for the help but I just went out and bled the h-e double toothpics out of it and she fired. I am new to this truck and need to learn the ins and outs. Not to mention that after reading as much as I have I am a little to gun shy of the VP44. Now that I can see the pressure (12 psi idle about 7 WOT) next step is a lift pump.
