Default Valve adjustment after rebuild

Do I need to readjust the valve lash after a rebuild.
The motor probably has less than 2 hours of run time since complete.

I sure would, unless the entire valve train was put back in the exact same spots, and you can guarantee the head gasket is the exact same thickness as the last one. I wouldn't take the chance.

They have the valve adjustments in the Tech forum. If you have any Questions just let us know I will post pics and info from Manuals if needed.

Default Valve lash?

I have a service manual. And I set the lash on it after rebuilding it and before starting. do I need to readjust after I've put a few miles on it? It just doesn't respond like it should. new IP, Lift pump, no codes, no smoke, starts and runs it just won't accelerate hard til it gets to about 2200 rpms. also theres not much boost til i hit 2200. idling boost sits on zero it runs about 3-5 psi between 1000 -2000 rpms when It gets to 2200. then it shoots up to 20psi and runs like a raped ape. I installed a kit in the turbo bushings, seals, thrust plate. marked the shaft and compressor wheel to keep the balance in tact. side play and end play are in tolerance. I can't help but think the turbos not spooling like it should.

Some ideas:
Is the MAP sensor clean?
Is the AIT sensor clean?
Did you adjust and/or reset the APPS?
