PICTURES OF A BARE 12 VALVE BLOCK WOULD BE AWESOME!!!i tried aksin in the 12valve forums but no luck. so maybe some of you guys can help me. so my dilemia. i bought this truck last week. the guy told me that the seals i the lower turbo(it has twins) were bad. and i called the shop where the work was done and the issue is the oil line. it goes uphill to the factory eturn line with a Tfitting. the kit also was for a 24valve so the turbo is lower than a typical 12valve kit i dont have the money and time to drop the pan to weld a port on the pan so waht options do i have???im stumped on it and i dont want to put new seals in it and then have it happen again. so what ideas can anyone give me?? and is there maybe a plug in the block that could be taken out and then just put a fitting in??

 

if you look right down below yer turbos on the block just above the oil pan there is a knockout there ya can use for the return....looks like its atleast a 5/8" hole

 

is it tapped or am i going to have to tap it? and i thought that was a freeze plug??

 

it is a freeze plug but since gravity is in yer favor here it will work just fine, its above the oil resivor line, knock the plug out and tap it, the dipstick hole is similar and just uses an o0ring to seal it

 

what about metal falling in the crank??

 

What metal? It's a frost plug that gets removed. No drilling or tapping or anything. Hammer and a punch will work it out

 

but im talking about then putting a fitting in. .how should i attach the fitting to the block? just tap an put teflon on and screw it in?

 

I dont know what setup you hve there but any good shop should be able to get you the right fittings needed. IF you have a frost plug in the block the fitting is cated with loctite and hammered in and you good to go, now threading needed....

Step 29 on this link, other wise if you dont have the plug its to the pan and thats your only option

thank you! that was exactly what i needed! so ill have to find a shop and see if they can get me that fitting so i can punch it out and glue it in!
