Hey guys I recently picked up a 99 dodge ram 2500 with the 360 v8 and typical dodge it now has trans probems I was wondering what diesel cummins should I be looking for and how much of a pain is the swap should I repair trans and sell it or just do the swap? Thanks for reading and ur input

 

if youll buy a p pump or a ve pump motor its not a big deal to do. the motor mounts are in the same place as needed for the diesel engine to drop in. the swap takes bout 100 to 125 hours if its a non electronics motor if it is electonics motors your looking at 150 hours plus.if the trucks in great shape i would do it but if the trucks rough just sell it. depending on the motor and condition look to pay between 2000 and 7000 just for the motor.
