Default 1998.5 NOT cranking

I have a 1998 that is not cranking. Using my multimeter I tested all terminals of the realy and found that I have no ground on the control side of the relay. Does anyone know where this relay is grounded? Does it have its own ground to the frame or body or is it grounded through the ECM? I confirmed the bad ground buy running a jumper wire from the relay to the - on the battery and it started. The stater is new as well

Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

was this right after the conversion? or did it just start doing this. a manual still has the safety switch in it, its just on the clutch pedal. i converted mine from a manual to an auto so i had to wire all that up. i would fill out your signature and give a little more detail as to what is going on with things like when it started, etc.

it just started doing it i did a motor swap cuz it had the 53 block and it was doin it on and off and now it completely stopped cranking so there is no safety switch to hook up cuz i dont have to push the clutch in to start it. i think it is the ground for the starter relay cuz the other conectors for the relay have juice when suppost to but none to the ground but i an run the ground for the relay to the battery and start it that way

i just have to figure out where the ground goes to

Looks like it goes to the Park/Neutral Position Switch, and the PCM. PCM wire is a Black wire with White tracer, Connector C1, Pin 6. That's the best I can determine from the high quality Dodge schematic. Even an auto has a Park/Neutral switch.

Mine's been an auto since day one, actually.

I love my 65's, it was an amazing difference between stock and the 65's. Better starting, less smoke, more power, and better MPG'S!

i went manual to auto for speed, want to go faster at the track, and it makes it easier for the wife to sit next to me while driving around
