i'm only seeing about 24 lbs of boost can i get more and is it unsafe to remove the wastegate. i'm upgrading in a month or so

I plugged mine, and was able to make 29PSI according to my EJWA. I ran it that was for about a 8 months. I have since sold it, and keep in touch with my buddy I sold it to. It is still running strong.

Mine is also plugged... Cut hose... Stuff a bolt in it!

Be carefull not to put tooo much boost to her. Drive pressure on stock turbos are EPIC! You can damage head bolts! Been there done that

I have yet to see a HY35 with a hose on it. HX35's do though.

thats all i got out of my hy was around 26 using the jhook from ts

can you push too much boost with the wastegate off? from what i understand they wont push more than 35

With a HY you probably won't even hit 30 but with my HX edge juice+hot and 150 sticks I could hit 50psi

my friend has a 2000 cummins with the hx any reason why they swithced?
