Water in connections at the APPS would be the first place I would look. Any codes?

I think its always worth it to have a code reader handy. It can make diagnosing much easier. I'd still look at the APPS connector to see if there is water in it, or if a wire came loose.

It is the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor, and it is under a black cover located at the front left corner of the engine right on top. Underneath it is a 6 pin connector, have a look at it and its wires. It would also be a good idea to remove the black cover and make sure there is no water under there. Also check your fuses under the hood, they are on the left fender.
