Ok iv noticed on different threads that the oil pressure changes on the engines. Mine does not move at all... should I worry about this or not?? Its been like that since iv had the truck.

It's never different? There should be a difference hot and cold, idle and higher RPM's.

Youre truck had probably been reflashed at the dealer. This essentially makes the oil pressure guage a dummy guage.

I would think the very minimum guage's required for piece of mind on a diesel would be engine oil pressure and fuel pressure. I went with Autometer and they work great. Now if you are looking for High Performance above factory then that's a whole different ball game.

The sender units on our trucks are known crap. In my case, my gauge sometimes shows normal, or shows all the way to the high pressure line or drops off to zero and the light comes on. My pressure is fine, it's just a bad sender unit. One of these days I'll put a new gauge on it but actual pressure problems are rare in these trucks.
