I found the fuel pump right beside the transmission mounted to the frame. Is there any easy way to get the pressure off the line or do i just need to loosen the hoses going to the pump? Also noticed it seams to be slinging transmission fluid out the tail of the transmission it is a 6 speed Manuel is this normal or ?

No you should not be losing fluid from the tail shaft. You need to replace the seal. Most auto parts stores have them. To get the fuel pressure you can cut the line and put a t in or put an adapter to the IP inlet that allows you to plumb in a fp gauge. Check with our site sponsors to get the adapter.

If you still need help ...check fuel filter first, then take off your main fuel supply line that comes off the lift pump to the vp44,bump the key, if the the fuel sprays out with a good bit of pressure, then its the vp44,if it comes out with the same pressure of a kitchen sink would its your lift pump.
