have 01 cummins ho i bought this truck urber cheap without a turbo and hearing it run. got turbo for it new lines fluids ect... started first crank. mind you this truck sat in feild for almost 2 years. found out had bad clutch so i got and oem and install. installed new fass pump and got rid of in tank pump via draw straw. anyways i have a millioin codes 1693 0203 0237 1689 0562 0382 0380 0215... when truck starts it kinda spits a little when reving after a few mins it dont weanna rev past 1500 rpm or so it will however rev up on occasion. umm also sometimes it doesnt wanna start. if i let sit for 20 mins or so it start right up.. any body got anything for me?

 

Sounds like a vp issue if it sat for 2 years the fuel in it id say the vp is bad

 

Check the relay under the hood "Fuel pump Relay" Drivers side

When this relay is missing or broken the VP44 doesn't energize nor pump fuel. It allows you to do the cranking test. But it also sets a P1689 and CEL light. So for all of you that have a P1689 error code present check your fuel pump relay first by trading with another relay!

Check this first, lift pump second, and replace VP44 third.You can have the VP44 check bench tested at a Bosch dealer.
