Not trying to hijack the thread but what is it with these transfer cases?

Mine started leaking out the output shaft seal when there was only about 30,000 miles on the truck!

theres a steady ring of oil that goes across the exhaust, the bottom of the box, and finally the side of the fuel tank

Honestly, I feel that the Cummins simply places to much stress and vibration on the tailshaft yoke which is why the seal continually leaks prematurely. In actuality, the slip should have been incorporated in the driveshaft and not the transfercase.

Same deal- Can NOT get that bastard to stop undercoating my truck (not a bad thing in the salt, I suppose). Had three seals in it in the past year and checked about everything, but she still pisses fluid.
