Messed up fuel return line
Hey all!
I have a problem that I am hoping that some of you guys could help me with. I dropped the fuel tank on my 01 Ram 2500 while doing a fuel pump upgrade. When I put the tank back I must have kinked or cracked the plastic tubing that goes from the engine return line to the fuel return on the tank.
Anyone know of any replacement parts for this, where to get them, and approximate cost? I contacted Dodge and they told me around 120.00. I am looking for the 8inch plastic tubing with the squeeze quick connect end.
Also if someone could provide extremely detailed instructions on how to raise one side of the truck bed (I am by myself) so that I can access the top of the tank I would really appreciate it!
Thanks in advance!!!
Mike

Any old fuel line will work for this AN/4 or 3/8" I think, with hose clamps on both ends. There is a metal section that comes down the back of the motor block close to the bottom of the truck by the drivers side frame rail. Just connect one end of the hose there and the other end right over the spout on the fuel module and it's done for a few dollars.
You don't need to move the bed to do this. Just go under the truck feet first and you can sit up in between the frame rail and body with no problem to work on top of the fuel tank. Plenty of room in there.
