Default auto tranny

i was wondering on how much a auto tranny is to build up to with stand about 400 to 500 hp? and would it be reliable? would u be better off like going ATS or something like that or if u know some one that might do it and knows alot about them and have them do it? and just rebuild and upgrade the stock one?

There are many Good Diesel Transmission Builder,I'm not found of ATS but that's me.Mine ran 7,700 for a full billet.

There is ATS,Goerend Bros,Suncoast,DTT,BD.

You can also do a price quote on the Diesel Bombers to get the best price and support the site.Price Quote - Request A Price - Diesel Bombers

Before I bought my truck, the trans was rebuilt. I have the receipt somewhere, but it was around that $5K mark as well. Included a Triple Billet T/C, and a stage 2 shift kit.

One route you could go to is look into a master rebuild kit and then find a tranny shop or yourself to do the work. I could end up being cheaper than buying a whole tranny. Just alittle food for thought. And like turbo20 said ats, dtt, goerand, suncoast, bd.

ok thanks guys im looking at maybe being able to spend 3000 maybe 4000 at most im looking at getting a truck and i was going to throw all that money to power but i figured it would be a better idea to do tranny first so i didint have a bunch of power then the tranny go out and be f-ed

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

well im only 2 hours from ATS so i might just go there plus the warranty seems good but my Q would be what stage would u need for 400 to 500 hp?

Personally have not had to deal with ATS.I had two customers that had ATS transmissions in there trucks (47re full billet and a ATS BUILT ALLISON LCT-1000 5-SPEED AUTO TRANS - 2004.5-05 GM TRUCK 4WD)that had nothing but problems with warranty problems.
