Default Just changed the a/c evaporator and what a job that was!!!

The evaporator in my truck was leaking and I had to replace it. Sounds like a easy enough job...NOT!!! Never again will I do that. It's not a real technical job but instead is very tedious and time consuming and I have very little patience as it is so next time I'm just gonna pay someone else to do it.

that's exactly what I was thinking when I was working on it. but here in florida it's kind of a necessity especially when you have kids.

Man after all that work I hope you changed the heater core while you were in there. I just did both of mine, both were leaking.

It is a hell of a precess, eh? I had to remove mine to clean it out. It had a nasty film of crap on it from the heater core leaking. The previous owner replaced the heater core, but didn't clean the evaporator. I had no air flow through my vents.
