VP 44 pump life
Hey there, I just started this thread to see what kind of life you guys out there got on your origional pump. I just replaced mine, and my origional pump had no stamping on it from any reman place so I'm assuming that it was the one from the factory. My truck has just under 300,000km (186,000miles) on it. Is this a normal life expectancy for one or was I just lucky, cuz I've heard some horror stories about them.

i think around 43000 dodge replaced it . pump failed from a bad lift pump and that was the 2nd one dodge put on ,all warranty. the truck was 3 months out of warranty and they payed for it all, but i had the pay for a new fuel filter
I got less than 50,000 on the original
in my 02. Had a 99 Ram that we bought brand new feb 99 and sold in March of 08 with 285,000 miles on the original pump and second LP. My bro got 98,000 out of his original on his 02.

just replaced mine today at a little over 250,000 miles. Had it since almost new. Put 3 lift pumps in it. Now I have an air dog LP. Haven't cranked it up yet. I have 100hp injectors and an edge juice coming in tomorrow. Gonna put them on and adjust the valves before I put all the other stuff back on.

and racing with all the goodies under the hood with a stock lp
