Default a/c, heater fan

ok havnt worried about it untill now because i didnt have a/c but got it workin so want it fixed, my fan speed control on the dash only works on low and high, the two settings in the middle dont work, anybody else had this problem?

Reistat probably not spelled right, I believe on the dodges they are on the heater box, it's just a little box that has several wires going to it.

A good place to start would be the resistor pack, they are notorious for failing in any breed of truck. Mine had full blast only until I removed the resistor pack and re-soldered a tab back in place.

Check the wires leading to the resistor pack as well, make sure a different wire has power on different settings of the switch. Hope that helps.

do you have to tear into the dash to get to the bower ive got the same problem

You don't have to at all. The blower motor and resistor pack are both located on the passenger side, and are removed/installed from the bottom. I believe there are 4 screws for the blower, and 3 for the resistor pack. Very easy to remove and install.
