I have an '01 automatic 47RE trans and run amsoil synthetic fluid. I have always had small air bubbles on the dip stick when checking the fluid even before I switched it over to Amsoil. Is this anything to be concerned about...trans is working ok other than that?

 

It should be fine. Remember that all the oil used in the transmission falls into the pan mixing oil and oil.
