the steering shaft has a pinch bolt. just take out the bolt and pull the gearbox away. I recommend not getting a rebuilt box as I just went through that. I am pretty sure all they do is replace the seals. If there is anything wore out in the box they dont care. The steering box brace is worth the 200 bucks. I wouldnt trade mine for nothing. Hope this helps ya.

seems like it was 11/16 but i am not sure. I took out the inner fender well on the driver side to give a little better acces. Its also good to check your intercooler boot while your down there. Mine was getting cut by the body. Just took some pleirs and bent it out of the way. good luck.

most steering boxes are reman and may be sloppy from the start. I offer NEW gear boxes if you need it. If you have a 4x4 the brace is worth it.

Just get one from the dealer they seem to hold up the best. warranty means nothing if you have to change it all the time.
