VP or not???
Man I hope you guys (and gals) aren't sick of my broken record. My truck died and won't start. It's got fuel in the tank, I haven't cracked an injector line yet, should I?? I don't have a fuel pressure gauge in the truck yet, the IP is making that one click sound, the truck turns over very fast, but wont start and I cant hear the lift pump. Can I check my fuel pressure at the IP??? I have a pressure gauge that goes to 15 PSI, and I checked it and it's reading 3 PSI. Is that correct??
You should be able to here the LP if you bumb the starter you can crack the banjo bolt on the IP to see if its getting fuel and yes you check the fuel pressure at the IP. Is the IP where you got the 3psi reading and was that while cranking if it is you are supposed to have 6psi while cranking and no less then ten at anytime while running. I need some more info.
I think its your LP I assume it is the intank one you should bump the starter and get down by the tank and listen you will be able to hear it or you could crack a bolt on the fuel filter housing and see if you are getting fuel that far. The banjo bolt you hook your fp gauge to is the supply to the vp44 and and you have no fp so Im gonna say your problem is your lp.Also do you have any codes?
