Default Funny Idle

i have an 01 ram 2500 and yesterday i noticed that when i started it in the morning it would run then drop a few rpms and the lights would dim for a second or two then it would go back to normal. it did that until i left for work, so maybe a minute or so, but once it warmed up it seemed to run and idle fine. it did the same thing again today when i went to leave for work. would idle fine then drop a few rpms and the lights would dim and go back to normal. and i noticed it again when i left work today it was doing the same thing. is this a normal thing for cold weather starts or is there something i should be looking for.

Thats normal. I would bet my last dollar that you havent had this truck very long...This is the grid heaters cycling - they heat the incoming air so its warm before it enters the combustion chamber.

Please consider getting some guages, especially a fuel pressure guage.

Well, you have a very good start with the Airdog. But, you should still have a FP guage.

Guages are dead easy - if you have any questions, fire away. Thats what we are here for.

BTW, some of our sponsors will be able to provide everything you need....so theres no need to even look around.
