my 01 dodge 2500 oil pressure gauge dont work every time i turn the key on it goes to 80 psi and stays there and on cold start when its not pugged in it reads nothin til it warms up and then goes straight to 80 any thoughts.

 

is it electric or mechanical

 

Its most likely the oil pressure sender.

 

the guage im sure is electrical and im triin to find the sender unit i think thats what it is the haynes manual doesnt show it so im still searchin for it

 

yep i would be willng to bet sending unit problems
