Still problems - starter?

No worries.
I'll look at taking that out over the next week and see if I can get it to react to a 12V source.
Why would there be ECM issues? When there is power it runs fine.
Underhood light is missing like the silencer ring and the glove box light will be next (thanks I never thought of that one).
Buying different batteries is not something I would or should do since the OEM batteries worked great until year 5 then things started happening (about the same time the battery tray came out (which means the sensor was unplugged for some other repair) and about then that things started really making my head spin.
I'm so f*cking pissed that I can't drive this truck right now.

So,
Not only couldn't the dealer get it started this morning they too were a bit puzzled. They have narrowed it down to the old compustar security system that is in the truck that no longer works (because I dropped the fob in puddle of water in 2006).
The solution is yard out the old starter (the trickle charge from it to run the memory drains batteries!) or replace the fob and get the unit serviced. Apparently these trucks get stolen lots but I'm not sure that would be a concern of mine at this point.
What do you guys think? Keep the starter / alarm or replace or ditch it? What gets me with this is that I pulled all those fuses and relays because I wasn't using it...
Oh well, at least there is a direction now.
