Both me and my buddy have 01's... Both trucks are cracked. Mine is on the driver side only, his is on the pass side only...

 

'01 cracked around 100k - then I put on a dash mat. Continued cracking under the dash mat. Replaced it at 130K and continue to use the dashmat. Hope it works! This truck is running until the doors fall off.

 

200,000 plus on my 99 with the charcoal interior and my first crack popped opened up here a few weeks ago. Bout 6 inches long in the center, way down by the windshield where I can't get to it to do much. Truck's never seen any indoor storage.

 

2001 Dodge 2500 4x4 Charcoal interior. First noticed cracks at 50k miles. Put a dash mat on it. When I lift up the mat there is no dash board left. Started out as a small crack around the center of the windshield and progressed from there. I am probably going to replace it this year (truck only has 75k miles on it!).

 

2000, mine crack do to the hott weather. My insurance cover it.

 

02 CTD and mine has a dash cover, and it's been sitting for about 2 months due to my VP of course. So I get in, and noticed my dash cover looks higher than I'm used to. Upon closer inspection, this F'rs cracked more, and raised the dash cover about an inch. I removed the cover(what a bi@ch) and it's spiderwebbed like you wouldn't believe. It's bad, I'm gona get some pics, never seen the inside of my dash, . It's F'd!!! I used a window shade too, and my windows are tinted dark.

 

Has anyone tried the dash covers yet. I am thinking about getting one. My truck looks like a real pos with the dash all to ****. Not the mats but the actual cover that glues to the existing dash. I cant tell in the pics Ive seen how it looks where it ends.

 

I have an '01 and my dash and instrument bezel are both crack. The dash is cracked all to pieces. It really looks bad. The instrument bezel has a couple of cracks in it. I am looking at the plastic dash covers at Geno's and/or from Coverlay Manufacturing - Replacement Door Panels and Dash Covers. I thought about seeing if I can remove the instrument bezel and repair it. It will probably go to pieces when I do.
Any other better suggestions?

 

anybody else have any input on the dash covers? considering buying one myself.

 

genos makes a complete replacement for 329.. i called dodge and pissed a bitch and they told me send my truck and 800 and they would fix it and i told them they were nuts i guess when u call dodge its all about who you talk to!!! im thinkin about taking mine out and puttin a layer of fiberglass cloth on it and paintin it black and callin it done!! 800 vs. 329 vs 30$ humm
