what is a code 1693 its making me mad some say it has nothing to do with the fuel system but then on blue chip website he says if you have a 216 or a 1693 code you need an injection pump. What is right i dont know who to believe?

What kind of scanner? You may just need a better scanner.

P1693 is the companion code - it just tells you another code is stored. Which may or may not be related to the injection pump.

If so, you might want to try a different scanner because theres likely another code stored.

 

yes i had four codes and we cleared all of them and the only code that came back was the 1693

 

I see...Id suggest driving it for a bit and check them again...
