Default .093 injector tubes

I am putting new injectors on my 98.5. My son said he was told to not put .093 connector tubes on the engine as it won't idle with an automatic tranny. Is that true?

The reason the Auto's lope is because of the converter. I ran them in mine with a VP and big injectors and it idled smooth as stock. I believe the stock size is .072"
or .074". I honestly dont think there is reall a need for them on most trucks unless you are getting them free I would just use stockers.

Or if you had to replace them on an early truck that had the non-reusable ones.

You can still generally pick up used stockers cheaper than .093's. Like I said I used them with no adverse affects but they are not needed.

I will say though I do run .093" lines, tubes, and soon to be DV holders. But I dont want them to be a hold back for my HP goal. They arent even needed for 700-800hp I wouldnt think but I would think the fuel hitting the cylinder will be cooler with less restriction.
