When I bought my truck it had the same issue. Pulled out hte resistor pack for the motor, and found a solder broken on the connections. Resoldered it, and it has been holding for the last 8 months. I believe this is a very, VERY common problem regaurdless of the logo on the front of the truck.

I am thinking that it might be the blower resistor, being that it only has high the fan is at the straight 12v speed the resitsor would step down the voltages to lower the fan speed. It is under the glove box in the heater/ac housing should be faily accessable.

well I messed this one up, yesterday I took a look and figgered the resistor must be in that lil box under there, poped it loose and a small motor and 2 plastic gears fell out, its the damn door actuator for the heater, now I cant get that POS back together, no damn room under there

Damn, that really sucks. I hope you don't have to pull the dash and the entire heater control box out to fix it. If you do, it's not that bad really. Enlist a buddy, a case of beer, and a day.
If you haven't found the one you are looking for, it is near the fan, 2 screws holding it in place. Towards the front, and left of the blower motor itself. Right beside the fan motor cooling tube. At least that is where mine is. |

Theres not much better than a free fix. Dealer would have charged you $600 for that.
