I have always run Wix filters and Shell Rotella oil. Never heard anything good about fram. The bypass valve they use allows the particles that are trapped in the oil to go back through the motor.

The guy that works of my truck, actually showed me the technical service bullitin or whatever it was that Cummins put out, specifically saying not to use Fram. Had one on my truck first time he opened the hood, and got yelled at! Only run those that specifically say they are approved for Cummins.

I'm running John Deere oil filters. They seem to be doing a good job, and as I can see the "behind the scene" information, they are well made.
