I'm new to the forum but was wondering if someone could tell me what I need to do to make an 01 model 5.9 work in a 99 model. My 99 has the tone wheel and the 01 doesn't. Some guy had said to use a computer from an 02 and get a "cam adapter", but I'm lost . Please shed some light on this. Thanks

 

welcome to diesel bombers and i thought 98.5 until 2002 was the same engine correct me if i am wrong

 

The 99 I guess was on year only and then it changed in 00 not sure what all is different with it. But I know the 01 doesn't have a tone wheel on the crank like my 99 does.
