Engine Rebuild Kits?
Hey didnt know if anyone knew where to get a GOOD rebuild kit. I have alot of engine oil coming out the blow by, more then what should so i guess its time to do rings. So i figure while the motor is tore down might as well do everything. Hoping some one has a package deal put together to help me with this. Any input would help. Its a 2001 Dodge Ram
were is the oil coming out at? and that is not many miles to need a rebuild kit.. what is all done to the truck??

Well the blow by on it is ridiculous. The rings are shot. Basically stock motor the previous owner I think beat it hard. I wanna pull it and rebuild it. The oil comes out the breather tube like a quart a week. And the oil pan but that just needs a new pan gasket.
Previous owner must have forgot to put the new oil in at the end of the oil change to be that bad that early in life. If he did I wanna know what kind he used so i can be sure i never use it. That's insane.
You sure you just don't have a plugged up line someplace that is not lettin it circulate. Dump a can of seafoam in the oil and let it run for 5 minutes or so and then change the oil just to see what comes or to see if there is any improvement.

What kind of oil filters were on it when you brought it? There was a problem with certain oil filters that clogged up the cooling nozzles in the pistons to cool the rings.Meaning the oil filter would break off a small piece and clog up the nozzle.
especially if they are frams. i aint ever using them again, not after on my 78 360 i found parts of the inside of the oil filter IN my oil as i drained the pan.
