We'll get codes off of it tomorrow while the suns shinin and it's not -4 degrees and blowin out. We were tryin to get home from the barn this evening when all this happened and between the weather and havin 2 dogs in tow I wasn't exactly sure how we were gonna do it for a while there but pullin off to let the truck get cold again, which didn't take long did the trick.

 

I hooked the Smarty up and came up with three codes. P0602, P0216, and P1693. I'm not writin the VP off automatically just because i came up with the P0216 so give me some more ideas that would tie the P0602 and the P0216 codes together. Sensors, relay's, wiring issues, I know there's somethin. I had LP problems but that was just a leaky pump and pressure never dropped, I was just tired of wastin fuel to the road gods.

Had some puffs of white smoke, but mainly black. Truck made decent power today also.

It is also VERY hit or miss on the white smoke and cutting out. Some pulls it runs great, others it does it. Earlier today it died while still cold, and today it ran like a top till it was hot, then it was a flip of the coin depending on the minute in question.

Now to throw a wrench into the mix..... The truck was filled up right before these issues.

Tomorrow's task- Test sensors, check plugs and wire looms for looseness and/or damage
