Default Wastegate

I was changin the boost boots today, and for some reason I wanted to see if the wastegate moved. It doesnt, should that arm be able to move back and forth?

It might take a little to get it to move, but it's suppose to move. Was going to ask what you've been running for boost, but I don't see any gauges listed.

I have been able to get 20psi, its hard tho to get that. Had blown boots, so I am interested to see what I can get with the boots back on. Crusing it jumps between 0-5psi alot, that is also the same times the truck surges

I would see where you get to with new boots. Wastegate should open around 32 lbs, unless someone adjusted the rod, then you would look at around 40 lbs. About the surging, remove the Quadzilla and see if it quits surging.

Yeah I have done all that. No change on the surging. Like I said the boost bounces around with the surging. I will see what the boots do for me, maybe I will put a little more elbow greese into it and see if it moves

Still unable to get above 22psi boost, I also notice some minor oil fouling on the compressor of the turbo. Is that normal, and how should I clean it to see if it comes back?

Have you tried removing the air filter and monitoring the boost? Just a quick rip down or around the block is all you need to see if it makes a difference.

I could not get my turbo pressure above 22 psi. Does that mean i need to clean the wastegate?
