Default IAT and MAP cleaning

Ok guys... Ive been trying to find time to clean my map and iat for a while now and finally took the time this morning. I pulled em both out and they were both clean as a whistle.... and the truck has 92+k on it.... sound normal? I check the resistance on the iat while i had it out and it checked out fine. I figured mine would be completely covered in soot the way i drive and having not cleaned them before.

Every truck is different. If your not makin a lot a smoke out the exhaust it also helps the sensors stay clean. Exhaust brakes also kill em quick and i don't see one a those in your signature so all this means is that you have a good runnin truck. They tend to throw codes when they are bad.

Not so good a fuel mileage is gonna turn out to be the APPS sensor. There's a good article on here about how to check and adjust it if needed. It's helped a good many of us.

No codes, no changes in smoke patterns, air and fuel filter flowin good, no brakes hangin up, fuel pressure holdin steady, these are the quick things i can think of. I'm havin the same issue right now myself. It may also just be the fact that the fuel may have already been changed over to winter blend where your at or they may be adding a higher concentrate of Bio to it. Both these things also decrease fuel mileage.

Im pretty sure we have switched to winter fuel in northeast ohio. Just did all the filters and the brakes are fine.

Winter fuel always puts the bite to fuel mileage. I lose at least 2mpg myself every winter and if I'm pullin heavy more then that. I'm all for bio fuel as an option but it kills fuel mileage and power so when they blend it I would expect a price drop to reflect that blend but I've never seen it yet. Over here every diesel pump has a green tag on it that says that this fuel is a bio blend of between 2-20% so you never really know what your gettin anymore.

I dont think we are getting bio-blended fuel over here... not entirely sure though, it does make the smoke more of a gray than black, I do know that. I actually have a biodiesel processor and run it whenever i can find enough oil. I got better fuel mileage on 50/50 though.
