You need a new map sensor,cleaning them helps.But you still have a code that comes back.Did you scan for any pending codes,after you drive it for a while.

Once I clear the codes they stay gone for the random amounts of time. Sometimes day's, weeks or even months between them before they come back. I've tried to find a pattern and so far no luck on that.

I will say though that after pulling heavy loads it takes a long time before the check engine light comes back on. I always wondered if the workout helped clean things out some.

If codes come and go, send the Comp box in and have them replace the circuit board, happens all the time.

Uncle Bubba FYI when ever mine set a code on the truck,I had to unplug the comp box were the map sensor is and plug the original wiring harness in to reset codes.I would try and run the truck without the box.Smokem is right my 02 was hay wire there for a while and the box was bad.Was up CumminsMech buddy.
