Default Injector Lines

I've got a 2000, two injector lines were rubbing together and nearly wore through; so now I need to replace #2 and #6 lines, my dodge dealership wants $389 for the two lines...is there a reasonable alternative to this?

I know there are pretty big oversize injector lines available from Scheid's and their vendors, Pure Diesel Performance has .078, .084, .093, .093 & .120 listed from $399 and up...with a warning not to use larger than .084 with a stock VP as it may cause stalling at idle.

So I should be okay with .078 lines, right? Anyone know for sure? This 2000 is a manual, so it's an HO with the bigger HX35 and slightly larger injectors and we're getting a mild programmer for it, so as far as I can tell, the slightly larger .078 lines shouldn't cause me any grief...am I wrong?

.078 lines should be fine. btw if you do put on a programmer updgrade the LP and get a fuel pressure gauge first.

I was actually thinking of the 0.078" holder I have used in the past. The 24v and 12v lines mic out to ~ 0.070-0.071" and the 24v connector tube is 0.067".

Sweet, this is resolved. Smokin24valve came through with some used lines sitting on his shelf

ID of the stock lines is .067

The line is slightly larger than the connector tube, it may be hard to believe but I did mic them just under an hour ago. Cummins sells the lines for ~ $70/piece.

I was just going off of what Scheid and a couple other reputable places were saying about the I.D. being .067

If those lines rubbed odds ar pretty good that you have one a the blue tabs either missing or moved in the wrong place. May want to check it out before it happens again. Wait till ya price them little blue tabs sometime. My jaw dropped off the floor.

Yeah it was an issue with the clamps and lines being installed incorrectly, fortunately they're all present.
