I had mine completely rebuilt and upgrade for $6500 including labor. For that price I got a; billet flex plate, triple disk TC, performance VB, billet input shaft, new clutches and a TC lockup kit(all BD parts). A regular rebuild will cost you around $3500 and you will more than likely have to do it again in another 150k-200k. If you go with a prebuilt trans it will cost you around $5000 and up, then you have core charge and shipping for both trans. If you can do it your self great, but labor for removal and install alone usually run around $1200.

Sounds like a bad day for that trans. I agree with the prior two posts here...

Look into a reputable shop to rebuild to buy from a well known name....

One one thing starts, everything follows.... No sense if replacing a band if it's already dropped...
