It's all good. I mainly posted because those pumps were junk from the get go but I guess I ended up with the holy grail of them! I bought a bunch of them several years ago when they had the recall pumps for $70 each. They were not available everywhere, but Cummins Rocky Mtn had 5 or 6 of them left so I bought them all and sold them at cost to guys that couldn't get them. Kept 1 for myself as a spare.

Annoys me that I am probably going to replace it not because it failed but because of this new fuel... damn greenies in up my fuel pump!

sad thing is that batch of $70 pumps it seems as if most were weak out of the box. i know out of 3 pumps purchased in the same month 1 was bad out of the box, one lasted a week or so, and the 3rd lasted 2 or 3 months. these were all bought at cummins in boise in late 06.

I remember that... I was one of those pumps...

All these died in 60K miles... Basically 1 pump would last about 20K miles...

That sucks! The stocker is leaking between the bottom of the metal housing and the plastic electric connection.

The Air Dog units are nice and all, but $600 on a pump is alot of beer money!

Huh?

Might want to consult the local vendors and see what you can get for deals...

At a minimum, you should install the Raptor pump. I agree with the folks here to go in the direction of FASS or AirDog. The FASS 95 is pretty affordable and if you are not pushing huge power, it will provide sufficient fuel.

I have been running a FASS for 6-years on my 1999 with no problems at all... Great system and compared to a new lift pump every year, I'm saving money.

Like I said before, I'm going to try and seal the stocker up and if that doesn't work, I'll swap in my spare pump.
