Just a simple question, how many quarts of tranny fluid do I need to get to change the fluid in a Automatic 2001 Dodge 2500? Looking to do this tomorrow just hoping to see if someone knows and what kind is the best it your eyes.

That is the complete overhaul fluid cap. or a flush cap.

 

With no torque converter drain and a standard pan, I can usually get 11-13 in the trans.

Loosen the valve body bolts to get all most of the fluid out of the top end.

These bolts must be re torqued in a criss cross pattern to 105in/lbs!
