Rear differential leak?

I can't break the nut loose. I did mark it already. My impact won't budge it.

Time for a bigger tool. Specs my local dealer told me was 470-500 ft. lbs

I ended up using a 6 foot bar and jumping up and down on it. You need a pretty healthy impact to get these off.

Yeah a healthy impact, forgot to say that I used a hydrulic 1" drive impact. Takes *****, lots of *****

It takes lots of ***** alright, anyone have a extra set. Unforutunately, mine are in my wifes purse

yeah, I couldn't remember the torque on the nut! I'm sure 250 will probably hold too!

take a hammer and knock the hell out the wrench on the pinion nut, it'll bust loose!

Well ended up going to a shop. Thills Transmisssion. What a great guy! He worked to get it off too with all the tools. Didn't realize it but this guy has his own little shop and is One hell of a truck puller.And transmission guy. He had trophy's and plaques all over his office. I looked today and it looks as tho he may be adding some more this year according to the standings at this point. If anybody is in this area I highly recommend him. He also told me he gets parts from Goerends quite a bit Seems to know his **** A big thumbs up to Lonnie Thill. I'm hoping he will join us here. I'm sure there is a lot of knowledge there.
